Pink Cookies

Here's the recipe, warning it makes a TON:

1 1/2 C Shortening
1 1/3 C Sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 (14 oz) Bottle Maraschino cherries (save the juice)
3 1/2 C Flour

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and baking soda together; add to shortening and egg mixture. Add chopped cherries. Roll into TINY balls and bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

Frosting:
1 lb powdered sugar
cherry juice
1 tsp vanilla
1 cube butter

mix all ingredients and frost cookies when cooled.
